Super GT – Bertrand Baguette with Real Racing

Since becoming one of the permanent players in the 2014 Japanese championship, Bertrand Baguette has defended the colors of the Nakajima Racing team. If Kazuki's father's team allowed him to win the last edition of the Suzuka 2017 km Super GT version in 1000, it does not offer him the possibility of playing at the front on a regular basis. The reason ? Notably the fact that it is the only car in the field fitted with Dunlop, tires that only shine in special conditions, particularly on a drying track.

But the competition is so pure in Japan that the 32-year-old Belgian has never held back his pleasure. He is rewarded for his patience since this year he will defend the interests of Real Racing, also a member of the Honda fold, and equipped with Bridgestone tires.

2009 Formula Champion Renault 3.5 Series and winner of the WEC in LM P2 four years later, Bertrand will be supported by Koudai Tsukakoshi. Nine months his junior, the latter knows the team perfectly and has defended its interests since 2008. Together, they notably finished 3rd in 2010 and 2nd in 2013 with Toshihiro Kaneishi.

Toyota was therefore not the only manufacturer involved in Super GT to have an announcement to make today. Note also that Nakajima Racing will officiate with a completely new duo bringing together Tadasuke Makino and Narain Karthikeyan. Team Mugen (Daisuke Nakajima-Hideki Mutoh), Team Kunimitsu (Jenson Button-Naoki Yamamoto) and Team Aguri (Tomoki Nojiri-Takuya Izawa) have decided to continue with the same crews as in 2018.
