Super GT – Honda finalizes its crews

Honda took advantage of the Tokyo Motor Show which begins today to finalize the composition of the crews which will compete on the all-new NSX-GT in Super GT this season.

On the No. 8 of Autobac Racing Team Aguri, we will find Tomoki Nojiri – Takashi Kobayashi, who replaces Kosuke Matsuura, lined up in the Nakajima Racing car. Koudai Tsukagoshi will team up with Takashi Kogure in the No. 17 Keihin Real Racing car, a line-up unchanged from 2016.

Identical situation on the n°100 of Team Kunimitsu, since Naoki Yamamoto and Takuya Izawa will be together again this season. The duos of Nakajima Racing Bertrand Baguette – Kosuke Matsuura and Team Mugen Hideki Mutoh – Daisuke Nakajima had already been announced last December.

“In addition to introducing the new NSX-GT and redefining our crews, and in addition to having the idea of winning everything, the development system at the factory has been greatly revised, comments Masashi Yamamoto, Head of Honda Motorsport. To erase the frustration of last year (no victory, Editor’s note), we will work intensively on development until the start of the season. »

The first round of the 2017 Super GT will take place on April 9 in Okayama.
