Super GT – Ronnie Quintarelli shines in Japan

On the list of Super GT, Ronnie Quintarelli occupies a special place alongside the Japanese Satoshi Motoyama, Juichi Wakasiwa, Yuji Tachikawa and Masahiko Kageyama with three coronations. Crowned this year with his teammate Tsugio Matsuda at the wheel of the Official Nissan GT-R of Team Nismo, the 35-year-old Italian is a recognized pilot in Japan, having joined the Land of the Rising Sun in 2003 by joining in Formula 3, but less in Europe. “At the end of my first year in F3, I made it to the Super GT final. I was very impressed. All were professional pilots and more or less linked to a major manufacturer. I fantasized about this Nismo team…”

After a title in Japanese F3 in 2004, he was aligned in Super GT from 2005, with the rest that we know. If he will defend his title next year, Ronnie Quintarelli does not hide having other dreams, notably on the Le Mans side ?

Find the portrait of Ronnie Quintarelli, in issue 1992 of AUTOhebdo, which will remain available on newsstands until Tuesday January 6, and still downloadable in digital version.
