Supercars-C2: Scott McLaughlin imperial in Perth
Winner yesterday in race 1 of the Perth meeting after taking the advantage at the start of the event over his teammate Fabian Coulthard (DJR Team Penske – Ford Falcon), Scott McLaughlin this time took advantage of his pole position to immediately propel himself into the lead of the second round of the weekend on the Barbagallo circuit in Australia.
Throughout the 83 laps on the program, McLaughlin will not be worried by Chaz Mostert (Rod Nash Racing – Ford Falcon), who fails by more than 4″ under the checkered flag. Author of a great start, Jamie Whincup (Red Bull Holden Racing Team – Holden Commodore) finished in third position ahead of Mark Winterbottom (Prodrive Racing Australia – Ford Falcon).
Will Davison (Tekno Autosports – Holden) completes the top 5 ahead of reigning champion Shane van Gisbergen (Red Bull Holden Racing Team – Holden). Simona de Silvestro (Nissan Motorsport – Nissan Altima) finished in 24th place.
