Two more years for Renault Clio Cup! The one-make championship, one of the most accessible and best known in French and European motorsport, will still be there in 2024 and 2025. The competition, today under the aegis ofAlpine Racing will be back for the next two seasons, thanks to the support of the Signature Group which will now ensure its promotion.

The Signature Group knows the world of Renault cups well, where it was involved in Formula Renault from 2003 to 2010, but also in Clio Cup, of which it was the operator from 2004 to 2007 and the promoter from 2008 to 2010 in within France. Since 2018, the Signature Group has successfully operated the rebirth ofAlpine Europa Cup and will thus bring new opportunities to present and future players.

The Clio Cup still popular

The Clio Cup has its origins in the Coupe de France Renault Gordini, a one-make championship created in 1966 with the aim of making motorsport accessible with R8 Gordinis. Since then, several names and several models have followed one another before returning to the Clio Cup in 2001, with the Clio II. In 2023, the plateau runs on the latest Clio V, across several European countries in regional variations (France, Spain, Italy, Central Europe).

On a sporting level, the Clio Cup Series will offer 9 meetings and 18 races on the most beautiful European circuits brought together in a calendar which will be revealed soon. All events will count to crown the winner of the European title while the four regional series will preserve the specificities inherent to the Clio Cup.

Competitors will also continue to benefit from significant support at this level of the pyramid. Benefiting from the experience ofAlpine Racing and synergies created with the Signature Group, the different players will always compete in strictly identical sporting and technical frameworks to ensure the most total fairness between all participants. Drivers and teams will compete throughout the season for a total prize pool of more than €280.
