Amna Al Qubaisi has twisted her neck at the idea of an Arab woman not being accepted in motor racing. The young 19-year-old driver, from Abu Dhabi, won the first race of the 2019-20 United Arab Emirates (UAE) Formula 4 season on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina.

Registered with the Abu Dhabi Racing by Prema team with her sister Hamda, Amna Al Qubaisi led Race 1 of the discipline from start to finish in front of 12 other competitors, including three women. “I am very proud to be the first Emirati and Arab female driver on the podium in F4, she said.
