Hugh Barter continues to make his mark this 2022 F4 France season. A strong man since the first round at Nogaro last April, the Australian won his 6th this Sundaye victory in 9 races this year, thus consolidating its lead at the top of the championship.
In pole position for 2e times in this 3e meeting of the 2022 financial year, Hugh Barter did not have a difficult Sunday on the Nièvre side. Starting very well when the lights went out, the native of Nagoya (Japan) did not have to defend his 1e place and was able to quickly distance himself from the peloton.
Although he had to manage a Safety Car restart after Souta Arao's stalling on the grid and Pierre-Alexandre Provost's collision, Hugh Barter was ultimately never rushed. As a boss, he crossed the finish line with no less than 4 seconds ahead of Elliott Vayron and Alessandro Giusti.
Present on this last podium of the meeting, the last two cities fought a nice battle in Race 3. Taking advantage of Souta Arao's stall, Alessandro Giusti quickly got back on Elliott Vayron and even overtook him for a few seconds. The latter, however, did not give up and took his right a few hundred meters further and never let go. Thanks to this 3rd place, Gisuti came back to 2 points behind Arao, currently 2nd in the championship.
Part 10e, Edgar Pierre also stood out during Race 3. At a very good pace, he was able to make his way through the peloton to climb up to 5e position just behind Jéronimo Berrio.
