Bourdais: 'I didn't have time to express myself'

For Sébastien Bourdais, the weekends follow one another but are not the same. Winner of the second Silverstone race at the beginning of April, the Frenchman was unable to show anything at Assen this Sunday. Qualified in the middle of the pack, the driver of car no. 69 was a victim of traffic during the first race, hit by Alvaro Parente (FC Porto). Broken front wing, damaged front right tire: that was the end of Manceau's chances.

He was not even going to be able to catch up in the second race since his car was too damaged, notably due to a driveshaft preventing him from participating in this second race. At the end of this weekend, the former pilot Toro Rosso en F1 could only express his frustration.

« There is not much to say, explains Bourdais. There are times when you can only endure events, and that?s what happened this weekend. I didn't have time to comment on the first race; and the damage to the car was too great for me to start second. End of the story. Looking forward to Magny-Cours, next weekend, to rebalance the balance at home. »
