Bourdais wants to shine at Magny-Cours

Sébastien Bourdais, driving the Olympique Lyonnais car, will play at home this weekend. But the Frenchman will have to face four of his compatriots, just as determined to shine on French soil. Franck Montagny (Bordeaux), Tristan Gommendy (Galatasaray), Julien Jousse (AS Roma) and Franck Perera (Flamengo) will indeed be there.

Located in Group A of qualifying, the former driver of Formula 1 will be one of the favorites but will be notably opposed to Julien Jousse (AS Roma), very fast last Sunday, and Davide Rigon (Anderlecht), winner of two of the three races last weekend, in Assen.

Before distinguishing himself there, the Manceau is already happy to return to a French circuit. “ It?s very nice to come back to the Magny-Cours circuit. I really like this track, which is varied and offers overtaking possibilities. It is also the circuit which represented the high level of motorsport in France for almost 20 years since it hosted the French Grand Prix. »

For this only French round of the Superleague Formula season, the driver of the Olympique Lyonnais car wants to stand out from the crowd. “ It’s a circuit on which I want to do well, like all my compatriots. Each of us five has the opportunity to fly the French colors high. There will be intense competition between us in this context. »
