British F4 – Billy Monger amputated and placed in a coma

The second British F4 meeting at Donington last weekend was marked by the terrible accident during the last round of the meeting involving Billy monger.

The young 17-year-old driver, who hit a car while idling, was extricated from his car and taken to the Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham. Unfortunately, despite the care provided by medical teams, Monger had to have both legs amputated and was placed in an artificial coma.

“Billy Monger is in a critical but stable condition at Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham, where he is receiving the best possible medical care, championship officials said in a press release.

The medical team points out that all of Billy's vital signs are showing progress and moving in the right direction. »

A fundraiser was also set up (accessible via this link) to help Billy Monger and his family, who receive support from many players in motorsport.
