As they drew the curtains when they got up this Sunday morning, the thirty drivers present at the Spielberg pre-season tests were surprised to discover large snowflakes above the Styrian mountains. So obviously, the start of the morning session was largely disrupted before the track improved considerably afterwards.
Very in good shape this Sunday morning, Calan Williams (Jenzer) set the best time (1'18"836) in this three-hour session ahead of Matteo Nannini (HWA Racelab/+0"022), the only driver to complete a double program F2/F3.
Kaylen Frederick, recently announced at Carlin, completes the podium (+0”065) ahead of the first Frenchman Victor Martins (MP Motorsport/+0”076), already 3rd in Saturday's morning session. The other French people finished a little further back: Clément Novalak (Trident) 15th, Reshad de Gerus (Charouz) 21st and Pierre-Louis Chovet 25th, knowing that all the teams did not necessarily carry out the same programs. The final session of these Spielberg trials will take place this Sunday between 14 p.m. and 17 p.m.
