  • Third race and third different winner in this 2024 season of Formula 3. After Arvid Lindblad (Prema) and Luke Browning (Hitech GP) in Bahrain, it was Martinius Stenshorne (Hitech GP) who imposed his law. This time during the Sprint Race of the Australian Grand Prix.
  • Starting in second position, the Norwegian, 2023 FRECA vice-champion, quickly appeared threatening behind “poleman” Laurens van Hoepen (ART Grand Prix). A back and forth battle took place between the two men during the first laps, but Martinius Stenshorne ended up gaining the upper hand over the Dutchman. Sharp at the start of the 5th lap, the Scandinavian pulled off a great maneuver and then made the necessary efforts to take shelter from Laurens van Hoepen and his DRS.
  • In the process, he was able to take advantage of the battles behind him to distance himself and thus sail with a little more than a second in advance. But that was without counting on Arvid Linblad, Prema's best representative during this Sprint. At a very good pace, the Briton, who started 5th, gradually reduced the gap with the leader until returning to his DRS zone. Everything led us to believe that a fight was going to take place at the end of the race. But the Safety Car with 7 laps to go did Martinius Stenshorne's business.
  • The Sprint restarted for the last 4 laps, the Norwegian controlled his restart, preventing his counterpart from retaliating. Author of a fine copy, the Hitech GP driver signed his first victory in Formula 3. Laurens van Hoepen took the third step of the podium while the drivers Campos, Mari Boya and Oliver Goethe completed the Top 5.
  • As for the championship leader, Luke Browning (Hitech GP) had to retire after only 4 laps. The Englishman suffered a technical problem and was called back to his stand, never to return to the track. Despite this mishap, he retains first place with 25 units, 2 more than Arvid Lindblad.
  • 26th on the starting grid after his accident in qualifying, Sami Meguetounif (Trident), the only Frenchman entered in F3 this year, moved up to 17th place.
