And two for Pourchaire, winner of race 1

He's just stunning. At just 16 years old and in his first year in the FIA F3, Theo Pourchaire has just won race 1 of the Hungarian Grand Prix, two weeks after opening his account. The French ofART Grand Prix beat the Prema duo Oscar piastri et Logan sargeant to become the first driver of the season to win twice.

But with what authority he imposed himself! Starting 3rd, the Frenchman was able to resist the scandal of the first corner, where Logan Sargeant (Prema Racing), who arrived sliding inside the curve, harpooned pole sitter Alexander Smolyar (ART Grand Prix), forcing him to abandonment.

Like last week in race 2 in Styria, the native of Grasse found himself in control of the race. But this time he got all the credit for surviving the chaos first and then defending his first position brilliantly for the entire race afterwards.

The race was temporarily interrupted after 7 laps, after Liam Lawson (Hitech) retired. The protégé of Red Bull saw his engine catch fire and a large quantity of oil escaped from his engine onto the track.

In his wake, Max Fewtrell (Hitech) and Sebastian Fernandez (ART Grand Prix) were not far from being surprised by the track. The commissioners therefore waved the red flag for a good twenty-five minutes, long enough to cover the (very) long trace of oil with sand.

But at the restart on the ninth lap, Pourchaire flew away, lap after lap, to create a gap so large (12 seconds) that he could barely discern the two Premas in his mirrors. Author of the best lap in the race, he scored 27 points in the championship and put himself back in the race.
