Everything was decided at the start in Race 1 of the World Series Formula V8 3.5 in Jerez (Spain). Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) slipped from his pole position on the grid and had to let Roy Nissany, author of a very good start, pass.
Despite the intervention of the safety car to clear the poleman's car after a few minutes of racing, Roy Nissany was able to resist the attacks of Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) until the checkered flag.
Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing by AVF) completed the podium ahead of René Binder (Lotus). Nelson Mason (Teo Martin) made the comeback of the day by starting eighth on the grid, finally preceding Alfonso Celis (Fortec Motorsport) and Yu Kanamaru (RP Motorsport).
Konstantin Tereschenko (Teo Martin), Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsport) and Giuseppe Cipriani (Il Barone Rampante) completed the top 10 while Damiano Fioravanti was unable to start, suffering a mechanical problem on the grid.
