For its very first weekend in car, the Australian Hugh Barter, member of the Richard Mille Young Academy, achieved the first success of his emerging career at Nogaro this Monday, during Race 3. He beat the French rookies Macéo Capietto and Esteban Masson, author of a crazy comeback.
After having experienced some difficulty starting during the first two races of the weekend, the Australian Hugh Barter did not miss out on the front row this time, unlike pole sitter Esteban Masson. Winner of Race 1 on Sunday, the Frenchman simply stalled on the starting line. But he was able to restart and make a crazy comeback, from last place to the podium (3rd).
The retirement, in the first laps, of Owen Tangavelou and Daniel Ligier, allowed Barter and Capietto to escape and privatize the battle for victory. Despite a similar pace, the Triclore was never able to really attack the Aussie. But after missing the first race due to a mechanical problem, Macéo Capietto happily took this podium.
