The 2019 Super Formula post-season tests will allow Sacha Fenestraz to dive into the deep end of the Japanese discipline. The Franco-Argentinian, winner of Japanese Formula 3 a few weeks earlier, obtained a place in the rookie tests at Suzuka on December 4 and 5.
The former protégé of the Renault Sport Academy will pilot a car of the team Kondo Racing, a structure he knows well having completed sixth in the GT300 in Super GT with a Nissan GT-R GT3 with this same team.
Happy to announce I'll be jumping into a Super Formula car for first time next week. It's going to be an incredible experience.

“I'm like a kid with his new toy, enthuses the 2017 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 champion. I can't wait to drive a Super Formula, which is a single-seater with a lot of downforce and very fast on this awesome track. »
Sacha Fenestraz thus lays the first milestones towards a permanent seat in the benchmark single-seater series in Japan. An entry in Super GT in the premier category (GT500) is also in the works, possibly with Tom's as we announce to you in issue n°2244 of AUTOweekly.
