Revelation of this 2022 season of F3, Isack Hadjar showcased his talent during the Sprint race at Silverstone this Saturday. Unhappy in qualifying where he signed 9e Time after a session where he had some difficulties with his flying laps, the Hitech GP driver regained momentum during the Sprint.
Fourth on the grid, the Ile-de-France resident took advantage of his excellent pace on the English track to move up the rankings. Lap after lap, Isack Hadjar gradually warmed up, claiming the scalps of Kush Maini (MP Motorsport), Reece Ushijima (VAR) and Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) who were unable to do anything against his attacks.
« In qualifying things did not go as planned, confided the main person still disappointed with his performance the day before. We found the rhythm again for the Sprint Race. I felt very good behind the wheel with very little tire degradation so I was able to push throughout the race. I felt very good behind the wheel.
The start was rather calm. I tried to attack Kush Maini but couldn't do anything at first. I waited for 4e position and it was from there that I started to take advantage of my pace and I was then able to overtake them one by one."
Recovery objective for Hadjar
This Sunday, the story will be quite different for Isack Hadjar. Starting from 9e place on the grid, the Ile-de-France resident knows that the task will be more complicated compared to the Sprint Race. Despite a further position, the rookie is confident thanks in particular to his very good pace displayed since the start of the weekend except in qualifying where he was unable to maximize it.
« I'm aiming for a Top 5, especially since we have new tires left, he advances. We have the pace and the conditions should be similar. It will be a longer race so there will be plenty of opportunities. Aim for the Top 5 starting 9e on the grid is a good goal. » To do this, Isack Hadjar already knows where he could try new attacks to get back into the peloton. “ The DRS is very powerful on the hangar straight. If you want to try to overtake, this is clearly the place to do it. » An appointment has been made.
