Jérez Tests – Day 2: Leclerc doubles the lead, the French at the forefront

100% Arthur Leclerc day near Jérez where the 2 was held^e and last day of official F3 tests. After having distinguished himself as the fastest of the peloton during the first outing of the day, the Prema driver once again dominated the timesheet this Wednesday afternoon to end these tests in the best possible way.

On a dry Andalusian track after the bad weather the day before and the wet conditions of the morning, Arthur Leclerc was able to improve his personal best mark by more than a second, going from a lap in 1'30"628 to another in 1' 29“366 10 minutes from the checkerboard. Like the morning session, the gaps were tight at the front with only 14 thousandths of a gap with his first pursuer, the Frenchman Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix). Second Tricolor in F3, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) held on to the last place in the Top 3, however more than 2 tenths behind the Monegasque.

Fifth after the first three hours of driving of the day, Franco Colapinto (VAR) improved his record and gained a position in the afternoon. The Argentinian finished 4^e with a lap of 1'29"614 just ahead of Oliver Rasmussen (Trident), Jonny Edgar's replacement, who is suffering from health problems and is unavailable for the rest of the season.

Two new days of official testing are planned in Barcelona (April 15-16) before the season resumes at Imola (22-24) for the 2^e sleeve.
