  • Despite discovering the streets of Macau, Gabriele Mini (Prema) definitely feels very comfortable there. The Italian indeed completed a perfect day since a few hours after dominating all of his comrades in free practice, he did it again, this time in qualifying.
  • In a session marked by three red flags including two exits (Sebastían Montoya at the end of the first sector and Zane Maloney in the fourth), the protégé ofAlpine knew how to protect himself from the Macanese traps. The pack restarted for a little less than 10 minutes after another interruption, Gabriele Mini took advantage of the improvement of the track and especially the fact of not meeting anyone on his route to set a time that was unattainable for the rest.
  • Luke Browning (Hitech GP) thought his 2'06"265 was going to be enough for him to come home with the best time but Gabriele Mini took care of calming him down. It must be said that the Sicilian gave him no chance, improving by 0"497 with a final time of 2'05"521 making him the only one under 2'06. Not bad for a rookie from Macau.
  • Also new to this atypical event, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) did very well. The only French representative, the Ile-de-France resident finished at the gates of the Top 5, barely two tenths behind Dino Beganovic (Prema), 3e.
  • As a reminder, two qualifying sessions are on the program for the FIA World Cup F3. The best cumulative time will then be taken into account to determine the starting grid for the qualifying race, the result of which will determine that of the main race.
