FR 2.0 – Jack Aitken's good operation

Beaten by the drivers of Josef Kaufmann Racing Louis Delétraz and Kevin Jörg in the championship arriving in Jerez, the Briton Jack aitken was keen to play his card to the fullest with a view to the 2015 Drivers' title in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. After dominating qualifying this morning, the Koiranen GP driver scored a double in Andalusia during the day's two races, contested in weather conditions complicated by rain.

Winner ahead of Jörg and Ignazio D'Agosto (Manor MP Motorsport) at the start of the afternoon, Aitken took the opportunity to take control of the championship on this occasion. The 19-year-old driver will continue his momentum and widen the gap at the end of the second event, won ahead of D'Agosto and Ben Barnicoat (Fortec Motorsports) who were unhappy in race 1 after being forced to retire in view of the finish while a podium held out its arms to him.

Less success for the Frenchman Anthoine Hubert (Tech 1 Racing), still in the running for the title before the meeting in Jerez, and who after an initial seventh place, lost all hope following contact with his compatriot Valentin Hasse- Clot (Fortec Motorsports), penalized for maneuvering four places on Sunday's grid.

There will be three tomorrow competing for the crown, Aitken having a 13-point lead over Jörg and 21 over Delétraz.
