FR 3.5-C1: First success for Tio Ellinas

Since the start of the Silverstone weekend, the Cypriot Tio Ellinas (Strakka Racing) has continued to set the pace on British soil. Best time in practice then author of pole position, the rookie won this Saturday his first success in the discipline, after mastering the first race of the meeting.

However at the start, the poleman saw Jazeman Jaafar (Fortec Motorsports) who had passed Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports) and Matthieu Vaxivière (Lotus), come into contact, which caused damage to the Malaysian pilot. The latter will liven up most of the event by fighting with Rowland, Vaxivière and Tom Dillmann (Jagonaya Ayam with Carlin). In the end, Rowland and Vaxivière will climb onto the podium behind an untouchable Ellinas.

Nyck de Vries (DAMS) finished in fourth place after taking advantage of Dillmann's error at the Becketts corner, bringing the former GP2 Series rider down in the hierarchy, before returning to 5th position.

Gustav Malja (Strakka Racing) takes sixth place ahead of Arden drivers Egor Orudzhev and Nicholas latifi. Roy Nissany (Tech 1 Racing) and Jaafar complete the top 10.
