FR 3.5: Kevin Korjus shines at the Nürburgring

Kevin Korjus is the surprising winner of the second Formula race Renault 3.5 Series on the Nürburgring circuit. In a race where strategy proved to be essential, the driver of the Toulouse team Tech 1 Racing got the better of pole sitter Robert Wickens, who finished in second place. The Carlin driver nevertheless retains control of the Championship, further increasing his lead over his teammate. He is the chosen one who will soon be able to drive the R30.

For his first weekend of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series season, Fairuz Fauzy also had an exceptional race. Starting just behind the winner, the Mofaz Racing driver climbed to the last step of the podium.

The Malaysian is ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin), who lost the lead in the Championship after his retirement in the first race. Daniel Ricciardo (ISR) ranks fifth ahead of Albert Costa (Epic Racing) and Brendon Hartley (Gravity? Charouz), who lost places during his pit stop.
