FR 3.5 – Kevin Magnussen continues his momentum and takes pole position

The Dane from Dams has still not left the top of the timesheet on the Motorland circuit in Aragon after qualifying. Arthur Pic finished sixth, Stoffel Vandoorne far behind.

FR 3.5 – Kevin Magnussen continues his momentum and takes pole position

It all happened at the last moment. Started on a wet track but under the sun, the first Formula qualifying sessions Renault 3.5 on the Motorland circuit in Aragon (Spain) proved to be very competitive on a circuit drying out as the drivers passed. In these conditions, Kevin Magnussen (Dams) continues to occupy the first line of the timing screen. In the last minute of the first qualifying session, the Dane took pole position for race 1 with a time of 1'54. Second with 306?1??3, Sergey Sirotkin (ISR) dislodged Marco Sørensen 342 minutes from the end. The Dane from Lotus finished 3th behind Christopher Zanella (ISR).

Arthur Pic (AV Formula) and Norman Nato (Dams) will start this afternoon from 5th and 6th places, ahead of Nico Müller the Swiss. Stoffel Vandoorne, the Belgian at the top of the Drivers' standings, is only eighth. Qualified in third position, Antonio Félix Da Costa was relegated to the back row.
