FR 3.5-Q2: Canamasas on pole ahead of Vergne

Sergio Canamasas takes his first pole of the season for the second race of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series in Budapest. The BVM Target driver is ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne, winner of the first race.

FR 3.5-Q2: Canamasas on pole ahead of Vergne

Jean-Eric Vergne (Carlin) could have scored his second pole of the weekend at the Hungaroring, but the winner of the first race will have to settle for second place, falling 0??211 behind the first position taken by Sergio Canamasas, who won his first pole of the season with a time of 1:32:826.

After failing at the foot of the podium, Adam Carroll (P1 Motorsport) continues to impress by placing his car on third place on the grid. The Briton is ahead of Alexander Red (Fortec Motorsports) and Brendon Hartley (Gravity-Charouz).

Robert Wickens (Carlin), fifth in the first race, is doing his best to maintain his lead in the Championship. The Canadian signs the ninth fastest time (+ 0??766) while Daniel Ricciardo (ISR) is only 13th (+1??028).

After his penalty inflicted in the first race, Arthur Pic (Tech 1 Racing) bounced back by setting the sixth fastest time (+0??621). The Frenchman is ahead of his compatriots Nelson Panciatici eleventh (KMP Racing) and Nathanael Berthon (ISR) 13th.

The second Fomula race Renault 3.5 Series will be played from 13 p.m.
