Clearly, despite the gloomy weather in Italy, the sky was blue all weekend for the Tricolores. After the pole position and the victory of Hadrien David (R-ace GP) in Race 1, it was his compatriot Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP) who won Race 2. The best rookie of the season won in fact ahead of Paul Aron (Prema) and Hadrien David (R-ace GP) to achieve his second success of the season after Monaco, at the end of a race marked by numerous incidents.

While she was in contention to place her three drivers on the podium, Prema experienced a nightmare race. It all started mid-race, when Paul Aron was crushed and taken out by his teammate David Vidales (Prema) at the first corner. The Estonian then found himself 5th.

R-ace GP, the team of the year

Meanwhile, Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP), who started 3rd and who had been overtaken by the Estonian in the first lap, took the opportunity to get back on the podium. While we thought Prema was well on his way to securing a double with Beganovic and Vidales, a red flag was waved for around twenty minutes following a collision in the escape route of turn 4 between Zane Maloney (R-ace GP) and Patrik Pasma (ART Grand Prix).

At the restart, David Vidales perfectly took the lead from leader Dino Beganovic. Except that at the entrance to turn 4, the two men touched each other, and cut the track to avoid hanging on. In doing so, Vidales literally took off on a banana and was unable to avoid the collision with his teammate, who was about to take his first FRECA victory. Fortunately, the two men got out of their single-seaters without any problems and in good health.

Third and at the forefront of the incident, Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP) had plenty of time to take the lead of the race, without even having to defend himself, the race having ended under a safety car. His compatriot and teammate Hadrien David (R-ace GP) accompanies him on the podium (3rd), his only objective was not to concede fifteen points to Paul Aron to secure second place in the series behind the untouchable and already crowned champion Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix). Thanks to this new podium, the two Frenchmen took the opportunity to definitively offer the teams' title to R-ace GP after a tough fight against ART Grand Prix, the other French team on the field.
