Since his disqualification from Race 2 at Paul-Ricard (June 5), for non-compliance of his car during technical checks, Dino Beganovic was going through a bad period. Starting like a cannonball at the start of the season, the Prema driver had a mixed last two meetings (Zandvoort and Hungaroring) and saw Gabriele Mini (ART Grand Prix) come back to 9 short lengths.
