Repeating in FRECA after his honorary title of vice-champion in 2021, Hadrien David has a status to assume this year. Back in the foldAlpine Academy where he joined the "Affiliates" program, the Royonnais knows that he must seek the champion's crown at the end of the season if he wants to claim promotion in F3 still within the academy of the French manufacturer.

Hadrien David met at Monza last week to begin his 2022 campaign and his quest for the title. At the Temple of Speed, the Frenchman, who did not have the best preparation of his young career, was unfortunately not able to fight for pole positions or victories, his main objective each weekend .

« I felt good about the poor pre-season testing, recognized the R-ace GP driver despite the difficulties encountered. It's ultimately encouraging to have been able to fight for a podium from the first race. The team has done a good job improving the car. Overall, it was a pretty positive weekend.."

If he left Italy with 18 points and 5e place in the championship, Hadrien David is aware that the results obtained are not sufficient to meet his expectations as he wants to succeed Grégoire Saucy on the FRECA list. Far behind the Prema, the Habs know that they and R-ace GP must work hand in hand to be able to return to contact and compete throughout the year.

« I don't come to make 4se or 5e places, he explained to us. We have work to do. We have to find what is blocking us and preventing us from winning this weekend to try to put it in place for Imola and if not, in Monaco. It has to be done as quickly as possible to try to fight for pole positions because it's especially the pace in qualifying that we lack. We estimate our delay at 5 tenths compared to Prema in qualifying. You'll have to find them somewhere. Once found, it will be much simpler."
