This is a great way to end the 2022 campaign. Forced to retire the day before, Gabriele Mini (ART Grand Prix) set the record straight this Sunday by winning the last race of the year at Mugello.
Left in 3e position on the grid, the Transalpine had a very good start to the race by immediately getting rid of Joshua Dufek (VAR). Returning to contact with the poleman and leader Gabriel Bortoleto (R-ace GP), the local of the event was oppressive for a few laps before going on the attack.
Well helped by the push-to-pass system introduced this year, Gabriele Mini gave his Brazilian counterpart no chance at the end of the long Mugello straight with just over 20 minutes to go. New leader, the Italian then mastered his subject by perfectly controlling the restart with less than 5 minutes to go. Thus, he crossed the finish line alone, winning his 3rde victory of the year. Crowned champion this Saturday, Dino Beganovic (Prema) completed the podium behind Gabriel Bortoleto. The Rookie title went to Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident). Best French representative, Hadrien David (R-ace GP) completes this exercise in 4th placee instead.
