Four days later, Colapinto loses his Race 2 victory

Four days. We therefore had to wait four days to know the final result of Race 2 of the Austrian Formula Regional meeting by Alpine. While he had managed the perfect weekend at Red Bull Ring, Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) was finally deprived of his victory in Race 2 obtained on Sunday, after several penalties were awarded. The commissioners in fact revised the race and consequently applied a cascade of penalties to numerous drivers, mainly due to non-compliance with track limits. 

Saucy recovers the victory

The Argentinian received a ten-second penalty, which had the effect of dropping him to the foot of the podium. Second in the race and not penalized, the affair benefits the championship leader Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), who wins his eighth victory of the season. Colapinto's penalty also benefits Zane Maloney (R-ace GP), who takes the opportunity to accompany the Swiss and Gabriel Bortoleto (FA Racing) on ​​the podium. In the championship, Grégoire Saucy extends his lead by seven additional points over Hadrien David (R-ace GP) and now has a lead of 77.

On the French side, no impact regarding Hadrien David, since the R-ace GP driver was forced to retire on the first lap. But his compatriot and teammate Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP) lost a place after receiving a five-second penalty. Dino Beganovic, William Alatalo, Alex Quinn, Gabriele Mini, Mari Boya, Oliver Goethe, Ido Cohen, Nicola Marinangeli, Nico Gohler, Eduardo Barrichello, Tommy Smith, Gianluca Petecof, and Andrea Rosso were also penalized.
