GP3 – C1: First victory for Niko Kari

Everything was decided at the start between George Russell (ART GP) on pole and the Ardens of Leonardo Pulcini and Nico Curry behind him: the Finn takes the best start and leads the race from the first lap while Russell is 3e after the first loop. The two rivals for 2e place in the championship, Jack Aitken and Nirei Fukuzumi, both stalled on the grid and started at the back of the pack.

Several incidents punctuated the race, notably the contact between Tatiana Calderón (DAMS) and Giuliano Alesi (Trident) at the start of the race, the momentary mechanical problem for Anthoine Hubert (ART GP) and Leonardo Pulcini's puncture two laps before the end of the race.

Niko Kari obtains his first GP3 Series victory in Abu Dhabi for his penultimate race under the colors Red Bull. George Russell and Arjun Maini (Jenzer) accompany him on the podium. Dan Ticktum (DAMS) finishes 4e ahead of Alessio Lorandi (Jenzer) and Steijn Schothorst (Arden) who scored his first points of the year.

Dorian Boccolacci (Trident) resisted despite significant tire degradation to recover 7e place ahead of Anthoine Hubert, despite his mechanical problem. Ryan Tveter (Trident) and Kevin Jörg (Trident) complete the podium while Giuliano Alesi is forced to retire and Julien Falchero (Campos) did not start, ill since the start of the weekend.
