Hadjar and Saucy tied at the end of the first day

First day of testing at Paul Ricard for Formula Regional Europe entrants by Alpine. At the end of seven hours of driving, two men share the lead in the ranking: Isack Hadjar (R-ace Gp) and Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix).

Best driver of the morning with a time of 1'58"160, Grégoire Saucy was able to improve his mark during the second outing of the day. Indeed, the ART Grand Prix representative completed his fastest lap in 1'57"917.

The Swiss then thought he had the perfect day but Isack Hadjar equaled him just a few moments from the checkered flag. Third at the finish, Alex Quinn (Arden Motorsport) also went under the 1'58 mark with a time of 1'57.

Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) and Andrea Rosso (FA Racing Team) completed the Top 5 of the day. The two men finished respectively 1 and 2 tenths behind Isack Hadjar and Grégoire Saucy. Frenchman Hadrien David (R-ace GP) ranked 10th, half a second from the lead, just ahead of Gabriele Mini (ART Grand Prix).

A second day of testing is planned for Wednesday March 31, still at Paul Ricard.
