His presence at the end of season tests in December suggested this, AUTO Hebdo is now able to be confirmed: Isack Hadjar will drive well in the Regional Formula by Alpine in 2021. The French driver, junior vice-champion of French F4 in 2019 and 3rd in the championship last year behind the two Japanese Ayumu Iwasa and Ren Sato, will spend his first season in the category with the French team R-ace GP , Formula specialist Renault after winning three of the last four drivers' titles.
The 16-year-old, author of two poles and three victories in 2020, was in particular demand after having successfully completed resounding end-of-season tests at Castellet and Barcelona. He will therefore occupy one of the three seats of the structure based in Fontenay-le-Comte, and will notably have as teammate the Briton Zane Maloney. “I am extremely happy to have signed for R-ace GP, the main person told us. Having the opportunity to be in such a good team for my first season in the category is a real chance”, he added.
As a reminder, the season will kick off at Spa-Francorchamps on April 25, for the big debut of the Regional Formula by Alpine. As preparation, the Frenchman will line up in Asian F3 within the brand new 3YT Evans GP team. He will take part in the first three rounds of the competition, in order to benefit from rookie status in 2021.
