Isack Hadjar takes his first victory in Monaco

Looking forward to achieving a first victory in Formula Regionale by Alpine, Isack Hadjar added prestige by doing it on the streets of Monaco. Author of a very clean start from the pole position which he won on Thursday by dominating his qualifying group, the Frenchman entered the first turn in the lead and maintained his advantage in front of his teammate Zane Maloney (R-ace GP).

Very quickly, the Habs took a lead over their Barbadian teammate, to the tune of five seconds at mid-race. Until the appearance of a safety car following another exit from the track by Nicola Marinangeli (Arden). But behind, Hadjar perfectly negotiated his recovery to achieve his first success in FRECA, the first for a rookie this season. It also puts an end to Grégoire Saucy's series of three consecutive victories (ART Grand Prix) and rises to 4th place in the championship.

For his part, Hadrien David long believed he could offer R-ace GP a historic hat-trick in the Principality, but the native of Royan was unable to do anything to get rid of his long-time adversary Paul Aron (Prema). The Estonian completes the podium and takes the opportunity to reduce the gap with championship leader Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix), who lost his point for 10th place after locking his wheels at the end of the race at turn 1.

As a reminder, Isack Hadjar will start on the front row behind his teammate Zane Maloney on Sunday morning for Race 2 (11:50 a.m.). Hadrien David will start from third position for a possible R-ace GP hat-trick.
