Jean-Eric Vergne on all fronts

The rookies showed themselves to their advantage this Saturday, on the Andalusian circuit of Jerez. For the third day of collective testing of the season, the beginners were able to show all their talent against the regulars of the discipline. The French drivers were no exception since Jean-Eric Vergne, Nelson Panciatici and Nathanaël Berthon finished third, fifth and sixth on the timesheet for the whole day.

Fourth in the standings on each of the first two days of testing of the season, in Barcelona, Jean-Eric Vergne (SG Formula) confirmed this Saturday in Jerez. Third behind Daniel Zampieri (Pons Racing) and Sten Pentus (Fortec Motorsport), the Frenchman made a very good debut in the discipline which has seen drivers such as Sebastian Vettel, Robert Kubica and Jaime Alguersuari.

« For the moment I have completed all the sessions at the top of the timesheet, that is encouraging, welcomes the pilot of the Red Bull Junior Team. We are still exploring many adjustments on my car and we are gradually arriving at something good. We know that the performance is there, our next mission is to work on the duration and management of a race. »

A second day of testing is on the program this Sunday, which will allow Jean-Eric Vergne to accumulate the kilometers, he who is competing in the Formula 3 UK season at the same time. On Wednesday, he finished at the top of the timesheet at the Oulton Park trials, showing that he is determined to perform in both disciplines. However, it will give priority to the British championship, due to the clash of dates between the two series. Its objective is to succeed in the prize list of the F3 UK to Jaime Alguersuari and Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull drivers.
