Kunimoto and Kobayashi continue with KCMG
For the new campaign, KCMG has decided to focus on continuity and thus not change its contingent. Starting together for the first time last year, Yuji Kunimoto and Kamui Kobayashi will once again defend the interests of the Hong Kong structure.
« I am happy to continue with KCMG for a new season, recognized Yuji Kunimoto, champion of the discipline in 2016. Last year we were able to progress race after race. We now want to start the season well and fight regularly at the front ».
« We are delighted to be able to continue our program in Super Formula this year, says KCMG Super Formula Team Manager Tsugio Matsuda. We hope to have a full season. Our performances improved throughout the previous campaign and this year we keep the same experienced and talented line-up ».
Due to a calendar clash between Super Formula andIMSA, Kamui Kobayashi, entered in the 12 Hours of Sebring, will miss pre-season testing at Suzuka (March 11). He will be replaced Kazuto Kotaka.
The start of the season is scheduled for April (3-4) in Fuji.
