Eurocup FR 2.0 strengthens its links with Renault Sport F1 Team in 2017

Now the bridgehead of Renault Sports Series, after the end of Formula Renault 3.5, the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 should generate growing interest in 2017. The championship will allow two of its drivers, including the winner, to join the Renault Sport Academy.

This season, the Renault Sport Academy is made up of Oliver Rowland, winner of Formula Renault 3.5 and today a driver in the GP2 Series supported by the Losange, while Jack Aitken and Kevin Jörg are competing in the GP3 Series. Louis Deletraz continued his career in Formula V8 3.5.

The two lucky ones will benefit from the resources of the Losange stable in F1 for the rest of their career, as well financial support for the 2018 campaign. The first registrants for the 2017 season will also be able to obtain simulator sessions at enstone in Great Britain.

Renault also indicated that it was banking on technical stability for the car 2017, when ten meetings should make up the calendar, including a round in Monaco on the sidelines of the F1 Grand Prix.
