Hauger's first pole of the season

Dennis Hauger (Prema) took the first pole position of the season this Friday in Barcelona. The Norwegian was just a breath ahead of the Australian Jack Doohan (Trident/+0 »006). For his first qualification at this level, Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) set the third time on the gong in the same tenth as the leading men (+0 »061).

The three men will therefore start at the front on Sunday in the main race, and will have to resist the threats Matteo Nannini (HWA Racelab/4th), Frederik Vesti (ART Grand Prix/5th) and Olli Caldwell (Prema/6th).

On the French side, Clément Novalak (Trident) qualified with honors in 7th place (+0 »321), just ahead Logan sargeant (Charouz). For Reshad de Gerus (Charouz) and Pierre-Louis Chovet (Jenzer), however, it was more complicated with the 28th and 29th times. The French-speaking Arthur Leclerc (Prema) finished in 15th position.

Twelfth for his FIA debut F3, reigning F4 ADAC champion Jonny Edgar (Carlin) will start from pole position on Saturday morning in race 1 thanks to the reverse grid, ahead of Alexander Smolyar (ART Grand Prix) and Caio Collet (MP Motorsport).

For his big return to competition since his serious accident (August 31, 2019) in Formula 2, Juan Manuel Correa (ART Grand Prix) took an honorable 13th place but failed to reach just one position from pole on a reverse grid.
