The 2019 calendar revealed, no Pau there

The formula Renault Euro Cup 2019 had his new car (announced at the start of the week), here it is which has a rich calendar of ten rounds. The appearance of the calendar will remain very similar to what the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup experienced in previous years, and for good reason: except Hockenheim (Germany), all 2018 meetings are renewed.

If there is still an unknown location on the schedule in October to organize the final of the championship of car European, one thing is certain: there will be no travel to Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) in May.

This possibility was mentioned in our columns by Benoît Nogier, Sales Director of Customer Competition at Renault Sport (see CARhebdo n ° 2187, in digital version), who nevertheless took care to specify that “Pau did not hold the rope” compared to other circuits.

This absence allows the Paul-Ricard (Var) to constitute the only French meeting of the competition placed under F3 Regional regulations. The 49th edition of Formula Renault will be contested on Tatuus equipped with a 1.8 liter turbocharged engine derived from the Mégane RS and capable of delivering between 270 and 300 horsepower. Michelin will supply the tires.

Renault Sport has finally announced the arrival of a new team in its ranks with the New Zealand structure M2 Competition. Each team will have the right to field three cars. The teams preselected by the Formula Renault Eurocup Organizing Committee will be known on November 5.
