The World Series by Renault with the ELMS in 2013

The ninth season of the World Series by Renault promises to be exciting with many new features on the program. The year 2013 will still feature seven events with a curtain-raiser reserved for the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at Monza on April 6 and 7. The three categories (and the Eurocup Clio) will meet at Motorland Aragon on April 27 and 28 before the FR 3.5 Series sets off to open the Monaco Grand Prix on May 25 and 26. Spa-Francorchamps will return on June 1 and 2 with Moscow Raceway on June 22 and 23.

The World Series by Renault weekends will then be completed with the European grid. Le Mans Series. The endurance discipline will share the track of Red Bull Ring on July 20 and 21 for a first event in Austria in WSR. L'ELMS will be back with the Losange on the Hungaroring on September 14 and 15 and at Paul Ricard on September 28 and 29. The World Series by Renault season will end on October 19 and 20 in Barcelona. The Nürburgring and Silverstone events thus disappear from the calendar.

“We are once again offering a varied calendar, structured around the circuits of Formula 1 and important markets for the Renault brand", explains Jean-Pascal Dauce, Director of Competition at Renault Sport Technologies. “It was essential for us not to have any round scheduled at the same time as an F1 Grand Prix, other than Monaco of course. Receiving the ELMS three times is also a big novelty. This brings even more variety and gives a note of endurance to our meetings, a concept always appreciated by spectators. »
