After many years in rally, he obtained the support of Honda with whom he notably rode during the 100th anniversary of the Monte Carlo Rally on a Honda Civic Type R3, in the colors of Arthritis and France Rhumatismes. This recognized association of public utility, of which he is director and spokesperson, aims to raise funds to help research on rare diseases in the field of inflammatory rheumatism. As Lionel explains:

“It is important to raise awareness of these diseases to advance research and find funds. Last year, we were able to raise 800 Euros. 000% of donations go to research since the operation of the association is financed by partner companies. Honda got involved in this association, and alongside me, in order to give real dynamism to our communication. I want to be the example that we can fight these diseases, and that research advances thanks to donations. Driving a racing car is not an easy thing and physicality naturally comes into play, but I am here and I am fighting to live this passion to the fullest! »

The meeting with Amandine Foulard took place at SpringBox Concept during a past season, where they had the opportunity to share the seat of one of the Ligiers of Philippe Alliot's team during a round in Barcelona. Great meeting, and since Honda is the engine manufacturer of the sports prototypes of the championship Endurance Protos of the V de V Endurance Series, the idea of forming a team with Christophe Decultot, Honda France general manager, was born at the start of the season. We will have the opportunity to meet this striking trio again during the Magny-Cours event in October, but here in Dijon, Amandine and Lionel already share the wheel of the No. 10 Ligier from Pégasus Racing. A last minute collaboration, but a shared pleasure for the two drivers who are taking part in this race together with great pleasure; a nice preview of the meeting scheduled at the end of the season.
