Maloney responds to Hadjar in Monaco

A few dozen minutes after seeing his teammate Isack Hadjar (R-aceGP) dominate Group A qualifying in Monaco, Zane Maloney (R-ace GP) set the best time of the Group B session ahead of his other French teammate Hadrien David (R-ace GP), who made sure to start on the second row for both races of the weekend.

For a long time, we believed in a hat-trick of French poles, after Théo Pourchaire in Formula 2 Thursday and Isack Hadjar in this category earlier in the morning. For what ? Because Hadrien dominated almost the entire session, putting together best lap after best lap.

But in the final moments, when the track was at its most favorable and the tires were at perfect temperature, the Barbadian managed to get the lap he needed to take pole for Race 2 which will take place on Sunday. The harvest is almost complete for R-ace GP, which places two of its drivers on pole and three on the first two rows.

Alex Quinn (Arden/+0”199) took third place in the session, just ahead of Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport/+0”319) and William Alatalo (Arden/+0”443). For his part, the overwhelming leader of the championship Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) only set the 6th time in group B of qualifying, probably handicapped by the fact of not having signed any fast lap in free practice due to 'a clash. He will therefore start on the sixth row during both races.
