For the first time this season, Stefano Comini was not a winner in the first race in Budapest. The Oregon driver corrected the situation by winning his seventh victory of the year in the second race in Budapest, where he started in pole position.
However, victory was not over for the Swiss, who was passed at the start by Bas Schothorst. The TDS Racing driver lost his advantage in the pits, but he regained the lead of the race by overtaking the Championship leader and his teammate Niccolo Nalio. But the Dutchman finally lost to take second place ahead of his teammate David Dermont.
Niccolo Nalio, winner of the first race at the Hungaroring, finally failed to reach the podium in front of Wim Beelen (TDS Racing).
