Pescarolo Sport launches the 04-LM

Pescarolo Sport has unveiled a new prototype, the 04-LM. This new racing car was created in partnership with the equipment manufacturer Faurecia. Built on a carbon monocoque chassis, the Pescarolo 04-LM will be powered by the 6,2l General Motors LS3 developing 420 hp and 620 Nm of torque and placed in the central/rear position. The sequential transmission will offer a Sadev system with steering wheel gear changes. The beast will be calmed by steel brakes and 6-piston calipers on the front and rear axles, its capabilities being able to take it up to 310km/h. The whole thing will weigh 880kg.

“We have developed a competition chassis that meets the high constraints of high-level motorsport both in terms of mechanical rigidity and safety.says the statement. The Pescarolo 04-LM has all the modern elements of comfort and performance: power steering, data acquisition, aerodynamics studied in CFD, multiplexed electrical harness, secure monocoque approved by the FIA. The prototype is 99% French, in fact only the engine base comes from the USA. »

The Pescarolo 04-LM will be entered in a Championship created specifically for this new creation, the Pescarolo Racing Series. It should also be eligible for the VdeV Series, the Sprint Serie and the 24 Series. Pescarolo Sport believes that the 04-LM is located between the CN and LMP3 prototypes.

Pescarolo Sport also plans to launch the Pescarolo 05, a project that should be revealed soon by the French manufacturer.
