Pierre-Louis Chovet in FIA F3

After a good fifth place in Formula Regional Europe last season, Pierre-Louis Chovet will tackle FIA Formula 3 with Jenzer Motorsport.

It’s an AUTOhebdo exclusive: Pierre-Louis Chovet will drive in the FIA F3 this year with the Swiss team Jenzer Motorsport. Fifth in Formula Regional Europe with one victory and six podiums to boot in 2020, Pierre-Louis is also the first Frenchman to formalize his participation in international F3 in 2021.

Formula 3 will not be a total discovery for him, since he has already taken part in two rounds last year with Hitech Grand Prix, including a very good 6th place in race 2 at Monza. “The atypical approach and technical mastery of Andreas Jenzer and his team, the human dimension, their exclusive focus on the FIA F3 category and an innovative project were the determining elements for this choice”, Pierre-Louis explained to us.

Even if Jenzer Motorsport is not the most prominent team in recent seasons in the category, the Habs hope to embrace the same destiny as the Japanese Yuki tsunoda, who managed to finish in the Top 10 in F3 with the Swiss team in 2019, before moving up Formula 2 then in Formula 1. As a reminder, Pierre-Louis Chovet is currently in Dubai for the first round of F3 Asia.
