WS F V8 3.5 – Binder and Fittipaldi offer the title to Lotus

René Binder took victory in the very last race of the Formula V8 3.5 World Series held on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. The Austrian who started on pole held off his teammate Pietro Fittipaldi, crowned the day before, to score his fourth success of the season, while the Brazilian secured the double for Lotus, who won the Teams' title against SMP Racing by AVF.

Tatiana Calderon (RP Motorsport) completed the podium while making only her second start in the discipline. The Colombian finished ahead of her teammate Roy Nissany, while Henrique Chaves (AVF) completed the top five after being caught early in the race by Alfonso Celis Jr.

The Portuguese finished ahead of Yu Kanamaru (RP Motorsport). Fortec Motorsports drivers Diego Menchaca and Alfonso Celis Jr completed the top eight. The Japanese and the first Mexican cited were fighting for third place, but both drivers were penalized for dangerous maneuvers.

Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing by AVF) finished last classified after stalling at the start. His teammate Konstantin Tereschenko, who replaced the ill Egor Orudzhev, retired after spinning.
