After a third position on the grid in Race 1, René Binder (Lotus) took pole for the final race of the World Series Formula V8 3.5 in Bahrain. The Austrian completed the Sakhir circuit in 1'44''730, more than three tenths ahead of his closest rival, Henrique Chaves (AVF) who made a promising debut.
Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) recovered by taking third place, four tenths behind his teammate while his opponent for the title Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing by AVF), on pole for Race 1, is only sixth behind Fortec Motorsports drivers Diego Menchaca and Alfonso Celis Jr and ahead of his teammate Konstantin Tereschenko.
The RP Motorsport drivers bring up the rear with Yu Kanamaru eighth ahead of Tatiana Calderon and Roy Nissany.
