WSR-C1: Rowland confirms at the Nürburgring

Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports) further increased its lead in the Championship by winning Race 1 of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at the Nürburgring (Germany). The Championship leader immediately put himself out of reach of his opponents by making a great start. “ I probably had the best start of my career”, confirmed the winner who now has a 49-point lead over his closest rival, Matthieu Vaxivière (Lotus), who finished just off the podium.

Nyck de Vries (Dams) and Jazeman Jaafer (Fortec Motorsports) completed the podium after taking advantage of Tom dillmann (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) and Tio Ellinas (Strakka Racing) went wide in the first corner. The Frenchman finally completes the top five ahead of the Cypriot.
