Zendeli on pole, good operation for Sargeant

Two weeks after signing his first FIA pole position F3, the German Lirim Zendeli did it again at Mugello this Friday, during the Tuscan F3 Grand Prix. He will therefore start on pole for this last round of the season, just ahead of Jake Hughes (HWA Racelab, +0 »1) and Frédérik Vesti (Prema, +0 »2), who confirms his renewed form at the end of the year. .

Second in qualifying, Logan sargeant (Prema) will not start on the front line. The American, who is eight points behind the championship leader Oscar piastri (Prema), will start in 5th place, due to a three-place penalty following an incident for which he was found responsible at Monza last weekend.

Nevertheless, the good operation is total for the former driver Carlin, since his Australian teammate, also penalized by five places, will start 16th after having set the 11th time. A week after taking pole at Monza, Liam Lawson (Hitech) finished 13th, crashing out on his fastest lap.

Behind the two championship leaders, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix, +0 »3) had to settle for 7th place on the grid. He too could pick up big points at Piastri, on a track where overtaking is rather difficult to do. For his part, Clément Novalak (Carlin), only 23rd, will start last after also receiving a five-place penalty.
