The weather having made the Ranch circuit Valentino Rossi impassable on Saturday, the race was therefore postponed to Sunday. The track has been rehabilitated to ensure safety standards and optimal conditions for the show.

After the warm-up, the start was given with the protagonists of the "yellow" group and the victory was quickly decided between the pair formed by Valentino Rossi and his half-brother Luca Marini, and that composed of Elia Bartolini, Moto3 rider who should return to JuniorGP in 2023, and Lorenzo Baldassarri, vice-world Supersport champion who will accompany the arrival of the French team GMT94 in Superbike next year. All things considered, this duo had the last word in front of Rossi/Marini.

Celestino Vietti, who was long among the contenders for the Moto2 crown this year before losing, and his teammate Niccolo Antonelli, complete the podium. After a year in the world in the intermediate category, the latter should officiate in the European Moto2 championship in 2023.

“We knew Elia and Balda were very fast and we fought from the start of the race,” Rossi said. However, we finished second. It was a great weekend, and the race gets more and more competitive every year. The best way to end the season. »
