What does the job of director of the circuit racing commission at the FIM consist of?

This commission, made up of 33 members from around thirty federations, supervises the development of sporting and technical regulations. She appoints the race direction commissioners and manages everything related to safety. We take care of the approval of circuits and safety devices. We also approve the pilots' equipment. As director, I make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Three young riders lost their lives this year: Hugo Millan in the Spanish championship, Jason Dupasquier at the Italian Moto3 GP, and recently Dean Berta Viñales in the Supersport 300 world championship. How did you experience these tragedies?

Mal, bien évidemment. Des pilotes aux commissaires de piste en passant par les officiels, les mécaniciens, les journalistes et tous ceux qui composent ce paddock, nous sommes là parce que nous aimons la course.
